Case Study #6 is a major remediation and construction company.
AWMS was asked to facilitate the transportation and disposal of hazardous waste, also contaminated with friable asbestos debris, in accordance with applicable hazardous materials regulations.
Cleanup efforts included:
• Loading asbestos-containing and lead-impacted materials into 10 cubic-yard containment bags.
• Stockpiling the sealed bags onsite prior to shipment.
• Loading and transporting the waste to a rail yard for shipment.
• Final disposal via rail transport to a certified hazardous waste landfill in Alabama permitted for asbestos and RCRA D008 materials.
• Approximately 1,600 tons of D008 Friable Asbestos Debris have been removed from the site.
• AWMS manages all aspects of this project including scheduling, site and transporter approval, manifesting, and billing, with back-up documentation
